Photographer Michele Burton has been exploring the outdoors through her lens for the past decade; she is an avid avian photographer whose images and essay are featured in The Wild Within: Wetlands of the Washington Park Arboretum, a book celebrating one of Seattle’s urban wetlands. Michele has also produced a limited edition, signed and numbered coffee table book, entitled Woodland & Wetland: Puget Sound Birds. Check out both books in the Products galleries.
Michele Burton's macro botanical images grace the walls of Swedish Hospital’s orthopedic building and on a series of notecards.
Michele’s kaleidoscope work began close to 20 years ago with collages and constructions. Her current work utilizes digital creation using Photoshop. Michele’s kaleidoscopes appear in the self published Patterns in Nature, a book of kaleidoscope images and on a series of notecards.
Michele Burton taught photography for 15 years at Bellevue College . She is in demand as a speaker on digital photography, composition and lighting. She has lead photo workshops in Washington state and Mexico. Michele is the recipient of Seattle Garden Club's 2010 Community Leadership Award for dedicated service to the community and The Seattle Garden Club in the field of Photography.
